Yesterday, I cycled up Vail Pass. At the top, my altimeter read 9,950. So I rode another 50 feet up and was at 10,000 feet.
Today we went on a hike with senior citizens. Elaine said it was an easy hike. But at the trail-head all I could see was mountains. The sign revealed that the hike was 2.5 miles and 1,200 feet of elevation. That meant that the top would be about 10,000 feet. But the hike was much steeper than the bike ride. ‘Just hope my legs are not too sore to ride tomorrow.
