Today is a long day for everyone, a day of ups and downs. After a 1.5 mile climb out of town, we ride downhill for 40

miles. 10 flat miles along the Kettle River then a beautiful 4 mile climb to lunch. It looks like we;re in a cavern. I notice birch trees for the first time. The 7 miles after lunch are more difficult because of the headwind. From miles 60 to 75 we loose 2,500 feet of elevation. The last couple of miles into Canada are flat. The lodging in Osoyoos is great, our balcony overlooks the lake (see photo).
